Harry B. Robinson, 88, of Royal Center died at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 at Logansport Memorial Hospital. Born December 5, 1923 in Metea, he was the son of the late Carlus and Jenny (Henry) Robinson. On February 22, 1947, he married Helen A. Swisher and she preceded in death December 26, 2003. On January 14, 2006 he married Ethel A. (Crissinger) Stanley, she survives. He was a 1942 Royal Center High School graduate and a WWII Army Air Corp veteran. Harry was a retired Brick Mason who formerly owned and operated Pioneer Masonry in Royal Center. He was a member of Baptist Christian Church in Royal Center, Royal Center Lion's Club and he was a member of the Brick Mason's Union- South Bend Local. Harry enjoyed gardening, yard work, playing Euchre and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed serving coffee to the morning coffee drinkers in Royal Center since 2004. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Robinson, sons, Rob L. Robinson (Tami) and Jesse B. Robinson, all of Royal Center, daughter, Julia N. Brown (Bob) of Logansport, step son, Butch Stanley (Debi) of Lake Park, GA., step daughter, Connie Campbell (Bill) of Lafayette, brother, Joe Robinson (Virginia) of Logansport, sister, Betty Schmaltz of Royal Center and sister in law, Josephine Robinson of Royal Center. He is also survived by grandchildren, Michael Adair (Andrea) of Royal Center, Shane Adair (Alayna Jackson) of Indianapolis, Nicole Zulkowski (Gerald) of Indianapolis and Ryan Robinson, US Army serving in Afghanistan, great grandchildren, Kail, Easton and Eli Zulkowski of Indianapolis, step grandchildren, Tony Ploss (Patti) and Toby Ploss (Karen) both of Star City and Terri Sproles (Scott) of Reynolds and step great grandchildren, Dawson, Rachel, Gabby and Ty Ploss of Star City and Jac and Luc Sproles of Reynolds. He was also preceded in death by brothers, James and Bill Robinson and sisters, Eleanor Rall, Vera Wolf, Gertie Atwood and Lena Cunningham. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 23, 2012 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center with Pastor Richard Utterback officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be at Royal Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the funeral home.
