Helen E. Huffman, 85, Kewanna, passed away at 11:04 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 in Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.
Born on October 2, 1921 in Grass Creek, Indiana, She was the daughter of the late Thurman and Vera (Lower) Huffman.
Helen was a 1939 graduate of Grass Creek High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Thomas Hardware in Grass Creek, retiring after 40 years.
She was a member of Grass Creek United Methodist Church and the Wayne Township Extension Homemakers. Her hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, reading, and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a brother, Carl D. Huffman (Charlotte), Camden; Nieces, Rita Ault (Carl), Rochester, Elaine Hartigan (Jack) Sparta, New Jersey, Carol Huffman, Fulton and Judy Schock (Bill), Delphi; Nephews, Alan Huffman (Jessica), Brownsburg, and David Huffman (Marcia), Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Donald and Albert Huffman.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Grass Creek United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jan Moyer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Grass Creek Cemetery, Grass Creek.
Visitation is from 4-8pm , Friday, May 18, 2007 at the at the Harrison-Metzger Funeral Homes, Kewanna Chapel.
