Helen M. Jones

Helen M. Jones, 91, of Star City passed away at 5:45 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2013 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born on January 14, 1922 in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche (Morrison) Clary. On February 2, 1942 she married Roy M. Jones. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2008.
Helen was a 1940 Lucerne High School graduate.
She was a member of Star City United Methodist Church.
Helen was a lifelong farmwife and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Helen was very proud that all 10 of her grandchildren graduated from college.
Survivors include her children, Sammy K. Jones (Pam) of Star City, Rex E. Jones (Connie) of Indianapolis, Joan Z. Marks of Indianapolis and Susan Machata of Florida, grandchildren, Debbie (David) Applegarth, Scott (Jamie) Marks, Morgan Jones, Joshua Jones, Christy (Craig) Coon, Ryan (Leah) Jones, Amy Jones, Michael (Juliana) Machata, Matthew Machata and Jessica (Julio) Delgado, and great grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas and David Applegarth, Cooper and Layla Marks, Sophia and Aidan Jones, Lindsey, Lucas and Katelyn Coon and Andrew Michael Machata.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Cecil and Russell, sisters, Ruth, Bernice, Charlotte and Bonnie Lou, and, son in law, Richard "Dick" Marks,
Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 1, 2013 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor David Sommers officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Riley's Children's Hospital.
