Helen G. Ortman

Graveside Services for Helen G. Ortman, 92, of Greenwood formerly of Logansport will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Citzens I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Kewanna.

She died at 7:30 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2009 at The Hearth at Stones Crossing in Greenwood.

Born on February 25, 1917 in Kewanna, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Etta (Hornbeck) Zellers. On February 11, 1949 she married Paul J. Ortman and he preceded her in death on November 19, 1991.

She was a retired seamstress at Hart Schaffner and Marx in Rochester and a former member of the Kewanna Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, Don Ortman of Logansport and Thomas Ortman of Indianapolis, daughters, Dorothy Kwiatkowski of Florida, Georgia Hickey and husband Henry of Tennessee, Donna Miller and husband David of Greenwood and Barbara Steele Laferte and husband Roger of Greenwood, 29 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Arnold and Ardis Zellers, sisters, Izola Foust Lewellen and Bernice Simshauser, grandson, Jeffrey Ortman and great grandson, Bryant Ortman.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2009 at Marocco Funeral Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport
