Imogene Goodrich, 97, of Royal Center passed away at 1:41 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2022 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born on June 14, 1924 in White County, she was the daughter of the late Stacy and Ica (Carlson) Kistler.
On March 12, 1949 she married Warren Wayne Goodrich. They were blessed to celebrate 72 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2021.
Imogene formerly worked at the Golden Rule in the children's department. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed sharing her love of food with anyone who stopped by her home. For many years, Imogene enjoyed spending time as a member of the Cass County Extension Homemakers Club. She was a generous soul with a competitive streak who liked playing dominoes with her friends. She also enjoyed playing rummy and Yahtzee with her grandchildren, very rarely losing, as well as taking them on summer trips to Indiana Beach.
Survivors include her children, Warren M. Goodrich (Vicki) of Ft. Wayne, Shelly Lee (Geoff) of Logansport and Melita Swartzell of Royal Center, grandchildren, Scott Goodrich, Renee Brown (Travis) and Kara Goodrich all of Ft. Wayne, Brandon Collins (Rebekah) of Brownsburg, Ryan Collins (Kristina) of Galena, Ohio, Aaron Collins of Walton and Amber Swartzell of Fishers, great grandchildren, Ian Brown, Cameron Brown, Tyler Collins, Lukas Collins, Jaynie Collins, Brady Collins, Ryder Collins, Nash Collins and Nevyn Collins, step grandchildren, Amie TerMolen (Mike) of Ft. Wayne, Lesley Burwell (Rich) of Roanoke, Geoff (JJ) Lee, and Tiffany Morock (Shane) all of Logansport and step great grandchildren, Alan TerMolen, Max TerMolen, Anakayla Burwell, Blake Elmore, Jasmine Lee, Jayce Lee, Jaelyn Benish, Clayton Morock and Arian Morock.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary McCloud and her husband, Darrell, brother, Ernest “Bob” Kistler and son in law, Steven Swartzell.
Services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, Royal Center.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a favorite charity.
Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery.
