Ivan Roy Troutman, 88, of Rochester passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Hickory Creek Healthcare Center in Rochester.
Born on October 31, 1924 in Winamac, he was the son of the late Perry and Ethel (Agnew) Troutman.
He was a 1942 Kewanna High School graduate. Ivan was a U.S. Merchant Marine during WWII.
He was a lifelong farmer and a member of Kewanna Church of Christ. Ivan enjoyed fishing and cutting wood.
Survivors include his brother, Charles Troutman (Jackie) of Baltimore, Maryland, sisters, Ruth Taylor of Winamac and Lois Hansen (Norm) of Mayer, Arizona, nieces, Carol Bibler and Barbara Hittle, both of Argos. Ivan is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Doris Miller.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial with military rites will follow at McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Macular Degeneration Foundation, Alzheimer's Association and/or the Kewanna Church of Christ.
