James M. Costello, age 59 of Chicago, passed away June 5, 2012 after a 12-year battle with leukemia and lymphoma. Born February 11, 1953, he was the beloved son of the late George and Mary Ellen Costello. He was the beloved husband of Gail Wirtz Costello; loving father of Katy and Kevin Costello; dear brother of Patrick (Sue) Costello, Reverend John Costello, SJ, Margaret Costello, M. Elizabeth Costello, Karen (Mufid) Costello-Kayed and Rosemary Costello; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd. at Old Orchard Rd., Skokie, IL. Funeral services were held Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Fourth Presbyterian Church, N. Michigan Ave. at Delaware Pl., Chicago, IL. Private family burial will be held at St. Ann's Cemetery, Grass Creek, IN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rush University Medical Center for bone marrow transplant research.
