James L. Pugh

James L. Pugh, 82, of Royal Center, passed away at 4:25 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Logansport Memorial Hospital. Born July 26, 1929 in Royal Center, he was the son of the late Berlin and Pearl (Swisher) Pugh. Jim was a lifelong resident of Royal Center. He was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Royal Center. Jim enjoyed playing checkers, puzzles and bike riding in his early years. Survivors include his brother, Donald Pugh and wife, Donna of Logansport, nephews, Michael Kitchell and wife, Beth of Logansport, Brad Kitchell and wife, Susan of Union Mills, Dean Pugh and wife, Nancy of Logansport and Bruce Pugh and wife Linda of Louisville, Kentucky, nieces, Linda Kraay of Dakota, Minnesota, Kathy Morock and husband, Mike of Royal Center, Becky Crowe and husband, John of Logansport, Sarah Watts of Logansport and Nancy Musselman and husband, Kevin of Logansport. He is also survived by 29 great nieces and nephews and 23 great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dee Kitchell and an infant brother and sister. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Kevin Drane officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Royal Center Cemetery.
