James R. Robinson

James R. “Jim” Robinson, 83, of Royal Center passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Franciscan Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on July 30, 1941, in Logansport, he was the son of the late James H. and Josephine (Burks) Robinson.

He was a 1959 Lucerne High School graduate.

On April 29, 1962, he married Karen Seward, she survives.

Jim was a 50 year member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Craft Workers. Former member of the RCVFD, Elks and the Royal Center Jaycees. After retirement he worked part time at Pond View Golf Course mowing greens. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading, puzzles and spending time with family and friends. Jim also enjoyed watching sports; Indiana, Notre Dame and the Packers were his favorite teams.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Robinson of Royal Center, daughters, Stephanie Collis (Ron) of Logansport and Suzanne Robinson of Logansport, brother, Jerry Robinson (Lois) of Arizona, grandchildren, Whitney Sanders (JT) of Tennessee, Courtney Kirby (Chad) of Tennessee and Jordan Robinson of Logansport and great grandchildren, Caroline, Ava, Emerson, Magnolia Mae and Smith.

He was also preceded in death by brother, Jay Michael Robinson.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2025, at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
