“R.J.” Ronald Joseph ”Joe” Leazenby, 60, of Logansport passed away at 7:25 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at his residence.
Born on November 25, 1950 in Logansport he was the son of the late Roy Junior and Geneva Faye (Weeks) Leazenby. On June 16, 1986 he married Angela Lynn Klaiber, she survives.
He was a 1970 Logansport High School graduate and a U.S. Army veteran serving as an Infantry Staff Sergeant.
He co-owned and operated Leazenby Enterprises, LLC.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and he enjoyed army and western movies, horseback and buggy riding, being outdoors, and he was a strong believer in the right to keep and bear arms. He was also an avid football fan who loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Lynn Leazenby of Logansport, sons, Joseph Ray Leazenby (Sara), Erik Jason Leazenby (Denise), Jesse Garon Leazenby (Maricel) and Jeremy Scott Leazenby (Dusty) all of Logansport, brothers, Cary Lee Leazenby (Sue) of Monticello, Richard Ray Leazenby (Rose) of Logansport, sisters, Judy Kay Cook (Tom) of Logansport and Jackie May Stover (Ron) of Twelve Mile, grandchildren, Marli Rene’ Leazenby, Alexis Michele Holcomb Leazenby, Brayden Clay James Crawford Leazenby, Brianna Nikole Van Horn, Kole Andrew Van Horn, Kaylob Jason Wayne Lugabihl and Malakai Joseph Leazenby. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his ex wife Sheila Sue (Scripter) Reed and nephew, Scott R. Leazenby.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2011 at St. James Lutheran Church in Logansport.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2011 and Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Marocco- Rans Funeral Chapel in Logansport.
Burial with Military Rites will be performed at Ever- Rest Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. James Lutheran Church.
