John L. Albright, Jr., 59, of Logansport, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends at 3:06 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born on June 22, 1957 in Logansport, he was the son of the late John L. Albright Sr., and Mary Lou (Gaines) Nitzschke.
John was formerly employed at Trelleborg Manufacturing in Logansport for many years and most recently he had worked at Martin’s Supermarket.
John was a member and volunteer of the American Legion Post# 60 and the VFW Post #3790. He was also a former member and secretary treasurer at the Logansport Eagles. John was an avid I.U. and Colts fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Natasha D. Seward (Jason) of Logansport and Joshua B. Albright of Logansport, brothers, Dennis W. Albright of Logansport, and Edward W. Schoonover (Tammy) of Logansport, and sister, Talitha A. Baker of Lafayette and his grandchildren, Jaden and Natalie Seward both of Logansport. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Tara Goss (Michael), Robert Pulawa, Andi Clark and Christina Hooks (Eric), several cousins and his special friends, Rich and Donna Rohrabaugh and Christy Schillinger.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday June 22, 2017 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel with Pastor Coenraad Brand officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Burial will be at Zion Cemetery in Lucerne.
Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. #60, American Legion #3790 and/or the Pancreatic Cancer Association.
