John Herbert Good, 68, of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Kewanna passed away peacefully on July 1, 2015 in Tyler.
Born on November 4, 1946 in Kewanna, he was the son of the late Delbert “Zeke” Roe and Geraldine “Ginger” Good.
John was a 1965 Kewanna High School graduate.
He was also a United States Air Force veteran, serving four years with a tour of duty in Vietnam.
John was formerly employed for several years with the Rochester Sentinel newspaper. He also formerly worked at Kewanna Safety Products, where he did screen printing. His most recent employment was with the Braun Corporation, where he formerly worked for over 15 years.
John moved to Tyler, Texas in 2001 to be closer to his family. He suffered a battle with cancer complicated by several strokes.
Survivors include Lynette Good, son, Kirk Good and wife Kathy, daughter, Holly Short and husband Kevin, grandchildren, Hampton and Emma Short, all of Tyler, brothers, Larry J. “Joe” Good and wife Karen of Kewanna and Richard Roe Good of Logansport.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2015 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel with Pastor David Sommers officiating.
Burial with military rites performed will be at Citizens IOOF Cemetery in Kewanna.
