John V. Hott, 83 of Rochester, went to be with the Lord at 2:25 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2010 at Seton Specialty Hospital in Lafayette.
Born on October 16, 1926 in Marshall County, he was the son of the late Milo James and Letha (Harris) Hott. On November 15, 1947, he married Mary Martha Sensibaugh, she survives.
John had been a part owner of Kewanna Implement for many years. He was also a farmer and truck driver who loved his tractors and trucks.
John was a US Army veteran serving in WW II. He attended Liberty Baptist Church in Rochester.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hott, Rochester, sons, John Jack" Hott (Prudence) of Rochester, James Hott (Rebecca) of Kewanna, daughter, Diane Sheetz of Akron, son Joseph Hott (Gwen) of Kewanna, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by daughter Melody Hott, son Michael Hott and son-in-law David Sheetz.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday 02/22/10 2010 in Moon Cemetery Kewanna. Pastor David Webb will officiate.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home Kewanna Chapel.
