John Robert Rehm, 84, of Burnettsville passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024 at home.
Born on July 21, 1939 in White County, he was the son of Harley “Dood” and Erma Rehm.
He graduated in 1957 from Burnettsville High School.
On October 22, 1961 he married Wanetia Cosgray at Bell Center Bible Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany from 1963-1965.
John was a farmer, truck driver and White County employee. He loved playing card games, doing puzzle books, watching sports and spending time with family. He was also the Bass singer for the quartet “The Royal Harmonaires” from 1970-1982.
He was a member of Bell Center Bible Church since its inception in 1952.
Survivors include his wife, Wanetia Rehm, son John Allen Rehm (Kim), daughters, Jenny Winebrenner (Jamey) and Julie Stanhope (Ed), grandchildren, J.T. Rehm, Justin Winebrenner, Ryne Young, Kristy Shidler (Mike), Rochelle Pena (Frankie), Sydney Young, and Cassidy Young, great grandchildren, Ben, Isaiah and Leo Pena, C.J. Hunt, Cierra Nikirk (Matt), Lexi Pena, Lucia Pena, Allison Bathke (Michael), great great granddaughter, Ana Nikirk, and sisters Caryl Kramer, Mary Crowell.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lewis Stricker and sisters, Treva Joan Iddings and Myra Lee Strausser.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Bell Center Bible Church with Pastor Ed Roller officiating.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the church.
Burial will be at Bell Center Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Bell Center Bible Church and/or the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department.
