Josephine M. Robinson

Josephine M. Robinson, 93, of Royal Center passed away at 12:08 a.m., Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport. Born on October 4, 1919 in Monon, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Fulmer) Burks. On October 6, 1939 she was married to James H. Robinson by Rev. W.C. Manning in Burnettsville. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1999. Josephine was a Homemaker. She was a member of Lucerne Christian Church, Boone Twp. Extension Homemakers and she also attended Baptist Christian Church in Royal Center. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts, playing bingo and most of all spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, James R. Robinson and wife Karen of Royal Center, Jerry J. Robinson and wife Lois of Royal Center and Jay Michael Robinson and wife Lana of Buckeye, Arizona, brothers, William T. Burks of Dothan, Alabama and Charles Burks and wife Betty of Logansport, grandchildren, Stephanie McQuarter, Suzanne Robinson, Tony Robinson, Melissa Omari, Derek Robinson, Brock Adair, Jordan Omari and Zaid Omari, great grandchildren, Jordan Robinson, Courtney Erickson, Whitney Erickson, Zack Robinson, Mason Robinson, Duncan Robinson and great great granddaughter, Caroline Erickson. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Ethel Rieken, Louise Smith, Margaret Kistler, Emma Sue Strasser, Mary Todd and Gladys Todd. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Richard Utterback officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
