Services for Juanita M. Chapman, 76 of Royal Center will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Harrison- Metzger & Rans Funeral Homes, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.
She died at 11:05 p.m., Friday January 16, 2009 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born on April 21, 1932 in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late Leo Virgil and Lura Fern (Schlegelmilch) DeWitt.A� On March 12, 1965 she married Leo Junior Chapman and he preceded her in death on May 11, 1993.
Juanita was a Homemaker, a graduate of Wrightchr(39)s Beauty College in Logansport, she enjoyed playing computer games, watching game shows, crocheting and knitting.A� Juanita was also very active with the Boy Scouts, Explorer Scouts and the Isaac Walton League.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth A. Hartle and Kerry A. Hartle both of Royal Center, Step Son, Robert M. Chapman of Ft. Wayne, Step Daughters, Madaline Smithhart of Ft. Wayne and Malinda Sue Ferris of Colorado, Brother Danny DeWitt of Rochester, Sister, Anita Cooper of Arizona, 12 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Edgar and Clyde DeWitt and grandson, Kenneth Wayne-Allen Hartle.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2009 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center.
Pastor Kevin Drane will officiate and burial will be at Royal Center Cemetery.
