Judith A. “Judy” Cosgray, 82, of Buffalo passed away peacefully at 4:55 a.m., Wednesday, September 06, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 25, 1934 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Lanz) Tieman.
She was a Pulaski High School graduate Class of 1952.
On January 14, 1956 she married Leroy C. Cosgray. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2013.
Judy owned and operated Judy’s Beauty Shop in Buffalo for over 58 years. She was a member of Buffalo Christian Church where she also taught Sunday School through the years. Judy was also a past member of the Tri Kappa Zeta RHO Chapter in Monon and the White County Historical Society. She was also the former chairman of the Buffalo Centennial Celebration and a founding member of the North White Athletic Boosters.
Judy enjoyed gardening, refinishing furniture, camping and most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Steven L. Cosgray and wife Joy of Buffalo, Mitchell L. Cosgray and wife DeeAnn of Monticello and Sheryl A. Jones and husband Troy of San Tan, Arizona, sister, Betty Ploss and husband Oscar of Headlee, grandchildren, Megan Haupert (Chad), Seth Cosgray, Kelsey Stetler (Corey), Allyson Cheever (John), Quentin Jones, Kaitlyn Bunch (Levi), Brant Jones (fiancé, Courtney Cazarez) and Hannah Cosgray and great grandchildren, Kinley and Olivia Bunch, Hadley and Brooklyn Stetler and Grayson Haupert.
She was also preceded in death by sister, Barbara Crist.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2017 at Buffalo Christian Church with Evangelist Tom Haynie officiating.
Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the church. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday.
Burial will be at Hughes Cemetery in Monticello.
Memorial contributions may be made to Buffalo Christian Church and/or the Liberty Township Park in Buffalo.
