Julia L. “Julie” Brown, 59, of Kewanna passed away at 5:37 a.m., Friday, August 14, 2020 at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester.
Born on July 10, 1961 in Rochester, she was the daughter of Richard and Pauline (Mosher) Brown.
She was a 1979 Kewanna High School graduate.
Julie enjoyed reading science fiction and Christian books, crafts and knitting. She loved being around and helping care for kids. She would often knit hats and sweaters for those she cared for and helped raise.
Julie also formerly wrote the newspaper column “Town and Country Chatter” for The Observer in Kewanna for many years. And, she tried to keep a good attitude even while dealing with her own and her mother's many health issues over the past several years.
Survivors include her mother, Pauline Brown of Kewanna, brother, James “Jim” Brown (Debbie) of Stevensville, Montana and nephew, Clayton Brown of Stevensville, Montana. She is also survived by numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard M. Brown.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Kewanna with Rev. David Webb officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray burial expenses.
