Kerry A. Pinder

Kerry A. Pinder, 44 of Culver joined his beloved sister, Deanna and cousin, Liz with the Lord on Sunday, April 7, 2013.

Born December 18, 1968 in Chicago, he was the son of Jerry and Beverly (Hood) Pinder. On December 21, 1996, he married Stephanie D. Hinds. She survives.

Kerry was a 1987 Plymouth High School graduate. He attended Northwestern Technical College in Lima, Ohio from 1987 to 1988 and was also a 2001 graduate of Ivy Tech School of Nursing.

He worked at Pilgram Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth for more than 10 years. He formerly worked at Walker Muffler in Culver and also formerly worked as an EMT in Culver.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Plymouth.

Kerry enjoyed collecting watches. He loved traveling, vacationing and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie D. Pinder of Culver, son, Brendon M. Pinder of Culver, parents, Jerry and Beverly Pinder of Plymouth, brother, Darren Pinder (Vanessa) of Knox, grandmother, Fay Pinder of Culver, mother in law, Carol Nusz (Glenn) of Silver Lake, sister in law, Melissa Katschke (Brian) of Rochester, brothers in law, Nolan Gates (Sara) of Camp Lagune, North Carolina, Nathan Gates of Walkerton and Doug Heidenreich (Teresa) of Washington, Indiana and grandmother in law, Carolyn J. Dolby and the late Rev. Richard Dolby of Warsaw. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sister, Deanna Hale in 2011,cousin, Liz Slocum, uncle, Robert W. Pinder, paternal grandfather, Harold Pinder and maternal grandmother, Doris Hood.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna with Pastor William D. Velarde officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2013 at the funeral home and also one hour before the time of service on Saturday. Burial will be at Citizens IOOF Cemetery in Kewanna at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna.
