Kevin Dwight Smith, 59 of Indianapolis passed away at 5:50 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
Born January 15, 1954 in Rochester, he was the son of Kenneth D. Smith and Jean (Brooks) Browning.
Kevin was a master carpenter and he specialized in finish work. He was very passionate about woodworking and was a perfectionist.
He attended The Vineyard Christian Church in Indianapolis.
Survivors include his mother, Jean (Brooks) Browning (Jerry) of Tucson, Arizona, children, Kacy Barnaba Smith (Stephen) of Crosby, Texas, Kevin Dwight Smith Jr. "Snuff" (Trisha) of Texas, Triston Smith (Lindsay) of Indianapolis, Danae Smith (Brian) of Mesa, Arizona, Cameron Smith of Bloomington and Brodie Smith of Indianapolis, step mother, Bonnie Smith of Kewanna, sisters, Kathy Thompson (Dan) of Plymouth and Kim Hoover of Star City, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth D. Smith and brother in law, Thomas Hoover.
Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, October 25, 2013 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church at Lake Bruce. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will be at Bruce Lake Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community South Hospital.
