Larry Dean Berkshire, 69, of Royal Center passed away surrounded by his family at 4:15 p.m., Saturday at his sister’s residence.
Born on November 15, 1944 in Cass County, he was the son of the late Quincy and Violet (Kerns) Berkshire.
Larry was a 1963 Royal Center High School graduate.
Larry retired from Nipsco and he was also a retired farmer.
He enjoyed mushroom hunting and trap shooting.
Survivors include his sisters, Sue Blackwood (Ira) of Florida and Ronda Trapp (Max) of Logansport and brothers, Donald Berkshire (Sharlene) of Columbia City, Howard Berkshire (Lynn) of Logansport, Jay Berkshire (Sharon) of Kokomo and John “Dick” Berkshire (Vada) of Royal Center, special friend, Karen Grisemore of New Waverly. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and his beloved dog, “Lightning”.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Marjorie Kesling and brother, James Berkshire.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center.
Per Larry’s wishes there will be no service.
