Lawrence T. Zartman

Lawrence T. Zartman, 96, of Colfax formerly of Kewanna passed away at 4:05 a.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Parkwood Healthcare Center in Lebanon. Born on August 18, 1917 in Rochester, he was the son of the late Harry and Flossie (Bick) Zartman. Lawrence was a self employed contractor who formerly owned and operated Zartman Construction Company. He enjoyed working on picture puzzles. Survivors include his companion of 23 years, Betty Bowles of Colfax and her daughter, Linda Norton of Lebanon; Lawrence's children, Violet L. Johnson, Bonnie L. Dotson, Susan Lawhorn all of Dunnellon, Florida, Richard Zartman of Tennessee and Dennis R. Zartman (Lou) of Warsaw. He is also survived by many grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Adams) Zartman, brothers, Carl, Verl, Manford and Calvin Zartman and sisters, Fern Taylor and Esther McFarland. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
