Leonard Beehler

Leonard Beehler, 92, of Kewanna passed away at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Hickory Creek at Rochester.
Born on August 20, 1917 in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Alvin and Grace (Crum) Beehler. On October 8, 1940 he married Mary B. Wagoner and she preceded him in death on April 25, 1987.
Leonard was a 1935 Richland Center High School graduate. He was a lifelong farmer and formerly had worked at various steel fabrication factories in the South Bend area as a burner.
Leonard was a member of Grass Creek United Methodist Church and he enjoyed woodworking and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include his children, Sheila Warner of Kewanna, Charles Beehler and wife Betty of Walton and Bruce Beehler and wife Ann of Kewanna, grandchildren, Linda Murphy and husband Hans of Carmel, Lt. Commander Michael Warner of San Diego, Kevin Robertson of Ft. Wayne, Sandy Dubois of Peru, Andy Grist and wife, Alicia of Galveston, Todd Beehler and wife Paula of Rochester, Troy Beehler and wife Shoda of Rochester and Traci Coursey and husband Tom of St. Joseph, Illinois. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Velma Ehresman.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Homes, Kewanna Chapel.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, May 10, 2010 at the funeral home.
Pastor Don Meyer will officiate and burial will be at Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery.
