Leroy C. Cosgray, 85, of Buffalo passed away at 1:21 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2013 at Seton Hospital in Lafayette. Born July 27, 1927 in White County, he was the son of the late Morris and Minnie (Blumhardt) Cosgray. On January 14, 1956, he married Judith A. Tieman, she survives. He was a 1945 Royal Center High School graduate and a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He was a lifelong White County farmer who was an avid Minneapolis Moline collector. He was a member of Buffalo Christian Church and the Praire Goldrush Club. Leroy was a former member of the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department and he was a former Liberty Township Trustee for 8 years. He was also a founding board member of IBEC. Leroy was a proud participant in the world's largest tractor parade with his M670 Super in Grand Island, Nebraska this past August. He enjoyed tractor pulling, I.U. Basketball and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Judith A. Cosgray of Buffalo, sons, Steven L. Cosgray and wife Joy and Mitchell L. Cosgray and wife DeeAnn, both of Monticello, daughter, Sheryl A. Jones and husband Troy of Westfield, brother, Jerry Cosgray and wife Eileen of Royal Center and sisters, Wanita Rehm and husband John of Burnettsville and Wilma Jean Berkshire and husband Marvin of Royal Center. He is also survived by grandchildren, Megan Haupert (Chad), Seth Cosgray, Kelsey Stetler (Corey), Allyson Cheever (John), Quentin Jones, Kaitlyn Bunch (Levi), Brant Jones and Hannah Cosgray. He was also preceded in death by brother, Donald "Brud" Cosgray. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2013 at Buffalo Christian Church in Buffalo with Tom Haynie officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the church and also one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Friday. Burial will be at Hughes Cemetery in Monticello. Memorial contributions may be made to Buffalo Christian Church.
