Lois J. Large, 81 of Kewanna, formerly of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away at 12:20 p.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at Life Care Center of Rochester.
Born on October 23, 1932 in Cedar Grove, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William and Virginia (Hicks) Grady.
She graduated from East Bank High School, where she was a Majorette with the Marching Band.
Lois was a homemaker. She was a member of Eden Park Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Ohio and she enjoyed bowling in her earlier years.
Survivors include daughters, Nancy Lutz (William “Bill”) of Kewanna and Beverly Porter (Daniel) of Lancaster, Ohio, brother, James Grady of West Virginia, sister, Phyllis Bowe of Wheelersburg, Ohio, grandchildren, Shawn Miller, Andrea Lutz, Aaron Porter, Andrew Porter, Ashley Uhl, Christopher Lutz and Shawn Lutz and 14 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Brady Peters and Elmer Large, sister, Vivian McGregor and grandson, Eric Miller.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
