M. Louise Cochran

April 30, 1930 — January 8, 2011

M. Louise Cochran passed peacefully asleep into death on January 8, 2011. Louise was born April 30, 1930 to Charles E. and Lurlie L. Skipper in the small town of Sylacauga, AL. On March 13, 1948, she was married to Joel David Cochran.
She was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahchr(39)s Witnesses throughout most of her life. She was especially proud of her faith and personal relationship with her heavenly Father, Jehovah. She spent many hours talking and teaching people about Jehovah and her faith.
She had such a zest for life and a tremendous sense of humor. She had an infectious laughter and joy. Nothing brought her as much joy or pleasure as making someone else happy; making them laugh.
Louise was an artistic and creative person. She learned that she had a talent for painting and sold many of her paintings in the Nashville, IN Gallery. She also owned and operated a successful gift shop in Nashville, IN that specialized in unique music boxes. She and her late sister, Mary, decorated and supplied family/friends with beautiful wedding cakes as gifts.
She had a big family and will be missed by her daughter, Judy L. (Chuck) Holcomb, Milton, FL; her son, Joel David Cochran Jr., Bloomington, IN; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter; her parents; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Her family wishes to extend a special note to Imogene and Walt Shawver and Vernon from the Bloomfield, IN congregation - Your friendship with Louise was something she cherished and spoke often about. Also, to Ellen Lucas and Shannon Cochran, the love, kindness, and support you gave to Louise in her time of need will never be forgotten - Thank You.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Marocco Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall.
