Madonna A. Peterson

Madonna Ann Peterson, 73, of Logansport passed away at 9:00 a.m., Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Chase Center in Logansport. Born on October 6, 1939 in Ft. Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Kathryn (Comerford) Cain. Madonna was a 1957 Logansport High School graduate. She retired from General Tire in Logansport in 2004 after 41 years. She had also worked for several area restaurants including Captain Logan's Hotel, Zoubel's and Guido's Italian Restaurant. Madonna was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, All Saints Ladies Society, Red Hats and the UAW. She enjoyed collecting and restoring antiques, collecting buttons and going to auctions. Madonna was also very crafty and enjoyed making jewelry and flower arrangements. Survivors include her children, Robert R. Peterson of Peru and Natasha Ann Wiegand (Leroy) of Plymouth, brother, Pat Cain (Debi) of Loveland, Ohio and sister, Judi Wise of North Manchester. She is also survived by grandchildren, Logan and Lauren Wiegand both of Plymouth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Michael McKinney officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Service, 119 E. Market St., Logansport. Burial will be at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Peru at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
