Marjorie Hartle

Marjorie Sweney Hartle, 81, of Lake Bruce passed away at 9:43 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

Born on July 6, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Mills)Kurz.

Marjorie was a homemaker.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.  Marjorie enjoyed participating in pre 1840’s reenactments and rendezvous.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Hartle of Lake Bruce, children, Steve Rans (Esther), Paula Cunningham (Robert), Chris Rans (Michele), Todd Rans (Lillian), Martin Rans, step son, Stoney Hartle and 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brother, Richard Kurz (Martha) and sister, Elizabeth Krohn (William).

She was also preceded in death by sons, Scott Rans and John Allen Patrick Sweney.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Miller officiating.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
