Mark E. Benson

Mark E. Benson, 55, of Thornhope passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on July 3, 1961 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Guy and Mildred (Anders) Benson, Sr.
He was a 1979 Pioneer High School graduate.
Mark worked for 16 years at Speedway Gas Station in Logansport where he met many friends. He enjoyed playing guitar, collecting Hot Wheels Cars and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Laura (Swartzell) Benson of Thornhope, sons, Keith Benson and Ted Benson both of Thornhope, daughter, Sarah Benson (Kyle Wilson) of Thornhope, brother, Guy Benson, Jr. of Thornhope and sisters, Deborah Gruszczyk (Greg) of Lucerne and Barbara Benson of Royal Center.
He was also preceded in death by brother, Dennis Benson.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the funeral home.
