Martha A. Baker, 87, of Logansport passed away at 4:42 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010 at MillerA�A�?A�?A�s Merry Manor in Logansport.
Born on March 27, 1923 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Lola (Kennedy) McCarter. She married Edward L. Baker in June of 1947 and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2003.
Martha was a graduate of Logansport High School, a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, All Saints Ladies Society and the V.F.W. Ladies Aux. She had also bowled on several bowling leagues and enjoyed playing cards.
Martha was a bookkeeper for WSAL retiring in 1985 and she had also been the Hallmark Lady at Walgreens.
Survivors include her children, Gary Baker and wife Janet of Florida and Karen Morgan and husband Steve of Logansport, sister, Anita Heisler of Cape Coral, Florida, 4 grandchildren, Marianne Hislop and husband Jeff, Jeff Baker and wife Jennifer, Amy Calvin and husband Michael and Heather Meredith and husband Jerry, 11 great grandchildren, Ben, Katie, Ellie, William, Amanda, Katie, Kellie, Derek, Ashley, Jerin and Kylie.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Justice and Wildarose Hawkins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2010 at All Saints Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Marocco Funeral Chapel where there will also be a Scripture and Daughters of Isabella Service at 4:30 p.m.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church and/or the AlzheimerA�A�?A�?A�s Association.
