Martha Ann Cook, 83, of Kewanna passed away at 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2011 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.
Born December 12, 1927 in Kewanna, she was the daughter of the late Guy Ernest and Jessie Bell (Lisey) Urbin. On March 13, 1946 she married Kenneth H. Cook and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2005.
She was a 1945 Kewanna High School graduate.
Martha had been the Head Cook at Union Twp. Schools, Clerk Treasurer for the Town of Kewanna, she also formerly co-owned and operated Ken-Mar Suds Station and Ken-Mar Glass Shop.
She was a member of the Kewanna United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Kewanna Order of Eastern Star, Fulton County Republican WomenA�A�?A�?A�s Association, Fenton Glass Club of Ohio and she had also served on the Union Township Library Board. Martha enjoyed camping and collecting antiques.
Survivors include her children, Kent Cook and his wife Sheri of Kewanna, Kenan Kimble and her husband, Jerry of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Katrina Carlisle and her husband, John of Indianapolis, and Kip Cook and his wife, Janece of Plymouth, 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by one brother, John Urbin, sister, Clara Jane Kumler, one grandson, Bryce Carlisle and one great grandson, Isaiah Bitterling.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Kewanna United Methodist Church with Pastor Chris Tiedeman officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2011 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be at Citizens I.O.O.F. cemetery in Kewanna.
