Martha Jean Scagnoli

March 18, 1924 — December 20, 2013

Martha Jean Scagnoli, 89, of Logansport passed away at 10:55 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor surrounded by her family.

Born on March 18, 1924 in Burlington, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Gregory) Eller. On March 2, 1946 she married Raymond Scagnoli. He preceded her in death on August 22, 1987.

Martha retired from Plotner's Shoe Store in 1992. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, All Saints Ladies Society and the William Paca Lodge. Martha also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter's; Barbara Nies (Larry) of Royal Center and Nancy Zagajewski (J) of Lucerne, grandchildren, Chris Nies of Lafayette, April Sjoholm (Eric) of Noblesville, Ryan Zagajewski of Atlanta, Georgia, Emily Zagajewski of Lucerne, Amy Cunningham (Ryan) of Logansport and Andrea Penley (Nate) of Napa, California, great grandchildren, Taylor and Reis Sjoholm of Noblesville, Journee Cunningham of Logansport and Kade Penley of Napa, California, brothers and sisters, Dick Eller (Alma) of Burlington, Bob Eller of Burlington, Sheila Mann (Louie) of Burlington, Karen Atkisson of Burlington and sisters and Brother in Law, Edie Hilderbrandt (Alan) of Logansport, Julia Baker of Logansport, Jo Moore (Don) of Logansport and Frank Scagnoli (Kay) of Logansport. Martha is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by son, William Scagnoli, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Mike McKinney officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2013 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel where there will also be a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church.
