Marvin Homer Williams, 89, of Logansport went to be with his Lord and Savior at 5:15 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 4, 1931, in Tilon Illinois, he was the son of the late Homer and Hattie (Martin) Williams.
On January 21, 1956 he married Dorothy Johnston, she survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Korea. Marvin worked for Nipsco for forty and a half years retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Logansport since 1957.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Williams of Logansport, children, E.F. “Butch” Williams (Fonda) of Twelve Mile, Marvin “Tom” Williams (Tracey) of Logansport, Robin Collier of Logansport and John Williams (Lia) of Logansport. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Herron and one brother and five sisters.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport with Pastor Jeff Allen officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the funeral home.
Burial with military rites will be performed at Metea Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donation to the Emmaus Mission Center.
