Mary Catherine Becker, 84, of Winamac passed away at 4:50 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac.
Born on September 21, 1935 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Mary Catherine (Neusbaum) Fitz.
She was a 1953 Pulaski High School graduate.
On November 25, 1959 she married Jack Becker. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2014.
Mary Catherine was a lifelong homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pulaski. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening, taking of her flowers and playing the organ.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Hagen of Burnettsville, son, Rex (Brenda) Becker of Winamac, brother, Wayne “Butch” (Judy) Fitz of Winamac, sister, Minnie Ledford of Francesville. She is also survived grandchildren, Nicholas (Lauren) Hagen of Mulberry, Mary (Sean) Walls of North Judson and Elizabeth Hagen of Burnettsville.
She was also preceded in death by son, Joseph Becker, brother, William Rater, sisters, Alberta Smith and Lorna DePoy, and son in law, Rodney Hagen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pulaski with Father Leroy Kinnaman officiating.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.
Burial will be at St. Peters Catholic Cemetery in Winamac.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
