Mary Casalini

Mary Casalini, 99, of Logansport passed away at 7:25 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on September 13, 1913 in Caserta, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Candino and Elisa (Aldi) Donato. On November 21, 1934 she married Guido Casalini. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1978.

Mary was a homemaker and she formerly worked as a cook at Donatos Italian Village, the Lunch Basket, Ben Hur Restaurant and Logansport Memorial Hospital. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and the William Paca Lodge. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Pat Byers and husband John of Logansport, Donald Casalini and wife Cathey of Sunset Beach, North Carolina, Joseph B. Casalini and wife Sue of Logansport, Mary Ann Kelly and husband Henry of Kokomo, Ernest Casalini and wife Sue of Panama City, Florida, Sophie Rogers and husband Jamie of Logansport, and Thomas Casalini of Zionsville. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, Bradley Casalini (Dawn), Theresa Runge (Scott), Elizabeth Loposser (Jim), Matt Casalini, Andrew Casalini, Valerie Muchado, Guido Casalini, Eli Casalini, Liza Macy (Ethan), Sophie Casalini, John L. Byers (Diane), Dick Byers (Kathy), Jean Ann Campbell (Mike), Monte Garcia (Heather), Travis Garcia, Fred Rogers and John Rogers (Lyndsi) and many great and great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Gene, Ernest and Peter Donato, sister, Rachael Ventura, grandsons, Joseph Michael Casalini and Michael J. Casalini and great grandson, Dominic Casalini.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Dominic Petan officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2013 at Marocco- Rans Funeral Chapel where there will be a Scripture service at 6:30 p.m.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
