Mary Jean Haselby

Mary Jean Haselby, 96, of Lucerne passed away at 9:32 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2012. Born on December 24, 1915 in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Hazel (Kistler) Winn. On May 17, 1934 she married Thomas Herd Haselby and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2002. Mrs. Haselby was a graduate of Lucerne High School. She was a homemaker and farm wife. Mary Jean was a member of Lucerne Christian Church where she was also a member of Dorcas Circle. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Lois Kay Fletcher (Philip) of Plainfield and Barbara Stansbury of Lafayette, sister, Nancy Douglass of Grass Creek, 6 grandchildren, Lauri Daum (Ken) of Plainfield, Warren Fletcher (Diane) of Danville, Mark Fletcher (Lisa) of Avon, Daniel Fletcher of Avon, Kim Bledsoe of Lafayette and Dennis H. Stansbury of London, U.K., 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by brothers, John 'Jack' Winn, Richard 'Dick' Winn and Maurice Winn. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Harrison- Metzger & Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Indian Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, 849 N. County Road 275 W., Cass County. Memorial Contributions may be made to Lucerne Christian Church.
