Matthew Hurley, 37, of Tippecanoe passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 22, 2023 in South Bend.
Born on March 5, 1986 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Robert “Pete” A. and Nedra J. (Hunter) Hurley III.
He was a 2004 Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis. He was also an Eagle Scout.
He was married on July 31, 2021 to Jessica Butler, she survives.
Matthew was a huge Pacer and I.U. fan and avid gamer.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica Hurley of Tippecanoe, brother, Robert “PJ” Hurley IV (Andrea) of Greenwood, mother-in-law, Janet Butler of Island Lake, IL., brother-in-law, Matthew Butler (Deirdre) of Wheaton, IL., aunts and uncles, Donna and Steve Rude, Cynthia and Larry Biggs, Phil and Cherlyn Hunter and Tom and Joy Troutman, nieces and nephews, Isabel Hurley, Olivia Hurley, Devjon Pearson, Jordan Pearson, Aubrey Butler and Rhys Butler.
He was also preceded in death by grandmother, Jeanette Hunter with whom he was very close and father-in-law, Patrick Butler.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 8, 2024 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Citizens IOOF Cemetery in Kewanna.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
