Nellie M. Overly

Services for Nellie M. Overly, 61 , of Lucerne will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday June 2, 2009 at Marocco Funeral Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport.

She died Friday, May 29, 2009 at 8:58 a.m. in Seton Specialty Hospital, Lafayette.

Born April 7, 1948 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late William Roy and Freda (Stangle) Stackhouse. On November 24, 1968 she married Leonard W. Overly who survives.

Nellie was a homemaker who also enjoyed yard sales, and her cats. She attended Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include husband, Leonard W. Overly, daughters, Inga R. Overly of Lucerne, and Andrea J. Abney and husband Jody of Walton, brothers, Jack Stackhouse of Tennessee, Jerry Stackhouse of Monticello, Tom Stackhouse of Kentland, John Stackhouse, and Fred Stackhouse, both of Logansport, sisters, Jean Stotler of New Castle, Carolee Clear of Florida, and Linda Upton of Monticello and 3 grandchildren, Nathanael, Dartanyan, and Francesca Abney, all of Walton.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Aldonna Smith, and one brother, James Stackhouse.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Pastor David Alexander will officiate and burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lucerne.
