Opal M. (Martin) Kelley

August 7, 1926 — January 25, 2021

Idaville

Opal M. Kelley, 94, of Idaville passed away peacefully at 7:45 a.m., Monday, January 25, 2021 at home surrounded by family.

Born on August 7, 1926 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Emma Mae (Penny) Martin.

She was a 1944 Royal Center High School graduate.

On May 25, 1945 she married George R. Kelley.  He preceded her in death on September 22, 2007.

Opal retired from Switches/Federal Mogul.  She was a member of White Oak United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan Welker (Richard) of Idaville and Judy Roudebush (Lon) of Royal Center, sister, Wilma Blackman of Monticello, grandchildren, Kelly Welker (Oliver Meyer), Mindy Schlotman (Jason), Holly Welker, Tabitha Miller (Ryan), Brock Roudebush (Karissa), Brant Roudebush (Abby), and Jeff Welker (Amy) and great grandchildren, Haleigh and Russell Welker, Brandon and Allivia Sterrett and Tilly Roudebush, Brooke, Morgan, Brady and Hallie Schlotman, Piper, Aili, Rece and Ira Roudebush.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Homer Martin and Boyd Martin and sister, Thelma Ploss.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at White Oak United Methodist Church, 10009 E. 1000 N., Monticello.

Burial will follow at Pro Cemetery in Headlee.

Memorial contributions can be made to White Oak United Methodist Church.
