Phyllis Jo Ann (Bowyer) Chapman, 75 of Logansport passed away unexpectedly at 2:27 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne.
Born on December 29, 1949 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late William V. and Floreine (Mapes) Bowyer.
She was a Rochester High School graduate.
On February 6, 2009 she married David W. Chapman, he survives.
She formerly worked at Federal Mogul in Leiters Ford and retired in 2015 from Winamac Coil Spring, Inc. in Kewanna.
She was an active member of Daughters of the American Revolution Logansport Chapter and she enjoyed baking, cooking, camping, family gatherings, trips with her best friends, rummage sales and going to the casino.
Her family and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life.
Survivors include her husband, David W. Chapman of Logansport, children, Phyllis Lahman (Barry) of Rochester, Matt Cohagan (Amy) of Warsaw, Angel Hanson (Scott)of Winamac and Stephanie Miller of Rochester, step children, William Chapman of Logansport, Jeremy Chapman of Kokomo and Rona Parker of Florida, brothers, Wayne Bowyer (Bonnie) of Rochester, Dan Bowyer (Cindy) of Kewanna, Tim Bowyer (Michelle) of Kewanna and Dave Bowyer (Kim) of Kewanna, grandchildren, Dillan Townsend (Marissa), Cortney Long (Parker), Austin Sausaman, Dayton Cohagan (Tisha), Emmalee Cohagan, Alexis Zolman (Chainey), Bryce Lahman (Christina), Bralynn Miller and Joe Bontrager (Lori) and great grandchildren, Roman Coe, Kylo Zolman, Julien Zolman, Malcolm Myers, Amari Cohagan, Eric Bontrager, Sadie Bontrager, Jeannie Bontrager and Sara Bontrager and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Jim Bowyer, Alan Bowyer and Dale Bowyer and sister, Janice Bowyer Unruh.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna.
A time of sharing memories will be at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will follow at Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Kewanna.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Daughters of the American Revolution.
