Phyllis I. Denny

Phyllis I. Denny, 83, of Logansport, passed away at 6:59 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2013 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on June 14, 1930 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Oran and Mary (Parker) Sanders. On July 11, 1946 she married Donald W. Denny. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2000.

Phyllis formerly co-owned and worked with her husband Don in their business, Denny's Pump and Sewer Repair Service. She had also worked at Decker's Grocery. She was a member of Pisgah Christian Church and Pisgah Ladies Tea group. Phyllis enjoyed knitting, crocheting and most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, William Denny (Kimberly), James Denny (Cindy), and Glenda Klinkhamer (Ed) all of Logansport, brother, Thomas Sanders of Lafayette, sisters, JoAnn Niccum and Louise Webb both of Lafayette, grandchildren, Dustie Hardin (Tony), Jesse Fife, Amanda Hites, Donald Hites, Tammy Hites, Nickoles Hites (Holley), William Denny, Ryan Denny (Jessica), David Denny, Brian Denny, John Schirm (Veronica), Jacob Schirm and Sarah Middleton, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by daughter, Norma Hites, granddaughter, Samantha Hites, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ryan Lewellen officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
