Richard A. Ruhnow, 69, of Monterey passed away peacefully at 1:40 a.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Majestic Care West Allen in Ft. Wayne.
Born on April 25, 1953 in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Emil and Mary Ann (Busart) Ruhnow.
He was a Culver High School graduate.
Richard was a retired Pipefitter and a member of Local 172 in South Bend. He also owned and operated the Leiters Ford Tavern.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Ruhnow of Monterey, children, Matthew Ruhnow (Michelle) of Fishers, Andrew Ruhnow of Indianapolis and Troy Rose of Georgia, sisters, Margaret Bowersox, Denise Tharp and Gail Ruhnow and grandchildren, Caden Ruhnow, Connor Ruhnow and TJ Sholes.
A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2022 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Fulton County Animal Shelter.
