Rita M. (Reke) Ehase

Rita M. (Reke) Ehase went to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 1, 2021 at 8:20 pm, at St. Vincent Hospital, after suffering a major stroke.

Born on April 10, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dawn (Hollman) Reke.

On April 16, 1966, she was married to Frank C. Ehase who preceded her in death October 12, 2017.

She was a hair dresser for several years, also worked at IGA in Logansport for close to 15 or so years, followed by working in the kitchen at Fairview Elementary School in Logansport where she finally retired.

She loved playing bingo, traveling, and family time on Sundays for a meal.

Surviving are her 5 children, Frank J Ehase, Theresa A. and Monty Hamilton, Michael A. Ehase, Dawn M. Ehase Stern and Andrew S. Ehase, all of Logansport, Grandchildren, Brad Hamilton, Sarah Hamilton, Frank L. Ehase, Derrick Ehase, Dakota Cox, Hannah Truax, Jared M.Ehase, Kaleb Stern and Klara Stern, great granddaughter, Charlotte Ehase and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by, brother, Joseph Reke, nephew, Paul Reke, niece, Tina Ehase, her father and mother in law, Frank and Evelyn Ehase and brothers in law, Charles Ehase and Bruce Ehase.

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, December 6, 2021 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, Logansport with Father Kyle Neterer officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
