Robert C. Engle

Robert C. Engle, 83, of Kewanna, passed away March 10, 2025 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Born November 3, 1941 in Kewanna, IN, he was the son of the late Chester and Elizabeth (Emmans) Engle. 

He was the youngest of 4 siblings; Bill Donathen, Sally Foust, and JoAnn Engle, all preceding him in death.

 Bob graduated from Kewanna High School in 1959.

 On May 15, 1982 in Brownsburg, IN, he married the love of his life Barbara Koopman. Bob said every day of his life with Barb was happy until the day of her passing May 16, 2015.

Bob worked at Krogers, farmed, and retired from Plymouth Tube. He was a hard worker and could fix just about anything. Bob was a great gardener and was happiest outdoors. He raised bees and his honey was the absolute best. Bob loved to travel the United States. He took two cross country motorcycle trips to California and back, and loved to tell stories about his adventures. Bob enjoyed motorcycle and stock car racing over the years. He also was a fan of all sports. If you stopped at the house you would expect to see baseball, hockey, basketball, or NASCAR on the tv. Bob was devoted to his family and friends. He always said family first. His favorite pastime of all was telling stories and talking with friends and family. He will be dearly missed by many.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20th at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery, 301 South State Street, Lizton, IN., 46149.

Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude or Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease.
