Robert L. Koons

Robert L. Koons, 79, of Royal Center passed away at 2:15 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Franciscan Health Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on April 8, 1942 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Leonard and Patricia (Besse) Koons.

On August 30, 1961 he married Mary Jane Bonnell. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2015.

Bob retired in 2008 from Modine in Logansport.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Studebaker Drivers Club.

Survivors include his children, Sandra Little (Raymond) of Logansport, Randolph Koons (Angela) of North Carolina and Aaron Koons (Lisa) of Royal Center, sisters, Judy Bowyer (Doug) of Columbia City, Margaret Ann Koske of Logansport, Becky Tidrick (John) of Logansport and Betty Lane of Logansport, grandchildren, Tom, Brianne, Mary, Jake, Chris and Clarissa, great grandchildren, Jase and Jaxyn, step grandchildren, Travis, Mara, Jeffrey, Ryan and Ciera and 3 step great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by sister, Jane Smith and her husband, Charles and brother in law, Jeffrey Koske.

Private family services will be held and burial will be at Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church and/or the American Alzheimer’s Association.
