Robert E. Lease

Robert E. Lease, 85, of Royal Center passed away at 7:35 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2012 at the McKinney House in Logansport. Born June 24, 1926 in Lucerne, he was the son of the late Harry Lease and Faye Burton. On February 7, 1948, he married Mary E. Huffman, she survives. He was a Lucerne High School graduate and a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. Bob was a former truck driver at Farm Bureau and North Central Co-op for over 40 years. He was a member of Royal Center United Methodist Church. Bob enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lease of Royal Center, son, Robert 'Mike' Lease and wife Kelley of Rochester, daughter Beth A. Nubel of Logansport, brother, Harry 'Bud' Lease of Kewanna. He is also survived by grandchildren, Robert Wells (Tammy), Chad Wells (Nikki), Stephanie Jackson (Kern), Amy Wyatt (Jay), Michelle Soel (Matthew), Mary Wells (Michael Myers), Shawn Nubel, Kim Darche (Brad), Chris Lease (Erin Reid) and Paxton Lease, 3 step grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. He was also preceded in death by son, Scott Lease, daughter, Sarita Sue Hoehler, and brother, Richard Lease. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2012 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center with Pastor Kevin Drane officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
