Robert W. Pinder

A Celebration of Life for beloved father and husband, Robert W. Pinder, 66, of Trinidad, Texas formerly of Kewanna was held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00p.m., Saturday March 15, 2008 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Homes, Kewanna Chapel.  He passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday March 8, 2008 at his residence. A visitation was held Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff, Texas.

Born February 3, 1942 in Logansport, he was the son of Harold and Lora Fay (Koenig) Pinder. On February 3, 1980 he was married in Kewanna to Barbara Gail Sissom, she survives.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was proud that during his lifetime he had traveled to all the 48 continental states.

He worked at Sealed Power in Rochester for over 34 years retiring in 1997.

Robert loved the outdoors. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge 852 and the American Legion Post, Rochester.

He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife, Gail, of Trinidad, Texas, his mother, Fay of Kewanna, 1 son Robert R. Pinder of Ft. Wayne, 2 daughters, Lisa and her husband Kevin Kersey of Plymouth and Mary and her husband Danny Chew of Kewanna, 4 brothers, Ed Pinder and his wife Lora Ann of Culver, Dick Pinder and his wife June of Fulton, Jerry Pinder and his wife Beverly of Plymouth and David Pinder of South Bend, 6 grandchildren, Sarah, Jason and Phil Kersey, Jeanann Hewitt, Darin Chew and Dylan Pinder, 1 great granddaughter, Kathirine Kersey and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his dad Harold in 1982.
