Robert L. Weaver

Robert “Bob” L. Weaver, 78, of Royal Center passed away at 10:05 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 12, 1935 in Royal Center, he was the son of the late Clarence and Claris (Rodgers) Weaver.  On December 2, 1956 he married Phyllis Bucks, she survives.

He was a 1954 Royal Center High School graduate.

Bob was a lifelong farmer and he was formerly employed at Farm Bureau for 10 years and he retired from Nipsco in 1996 after 26 years.

He attended Royal Center United Methodist Church.  Bob enjoyed bowling and especially helping his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with their 4-H Fair projects over the years.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis J. Weaver of Royal Center, sons, Dale Weaver (Lori) and Jeffrey Weaver (Tonya) all of Royal Center, brother, William Weaver (Beverly) of Royal Center, sister, Dorothy Garr of Ft. Wayne, grandchildren, Natasha Juniper (George), Dale Weaver, Jr. (Callie), Brent Weaver, Brittany Weaver and Robert Weaver and great grandchildren, Brooke Weaver, Bailey Weaver, Addisyn Juniper, Mason Juniper and Carter Wayne Weaver Carmichael and Graysee Weaver.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by sister, Marjorie Bohm.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Chapel with Kevin Kiser officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County 4-H Fair Association.
