Robert Charles Zeider

Command Sgt. Major Robert Charles "Chuck" Zeider, 61, of Logansport, passed away at 4:00 a.m., Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his residence.
Born on May 27, 1952 in Rochester, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Mary Ellen (Markley) Zeider. On June 6, 1970 he married Diane E. Swisher, she survives. He was proud to be the son-in-law of Richard and Elizabeth Swisher.
Chuck was served in the National Guard for 21 years where he attained the highest non-commissioned rank of Commander Sgt. He was formerly employed at Exide, CFS and Dave Anderson Fertilizer Company. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Diane E. Zeider of Logansport, daughter, Bethany Zeider of Logansport, son, Eric Zeider of Kokomo, brother, Frank Zeider of Logansport, sisters, Chris Fields (Abby) of Logansport and Sue Gunter (Ken) of Carroll County, mother-in-law, Elizabeth Swisher of Logansport and sisters-in-law, Deitra Spencer of Royal Center and Elaine Swisher of Metea and Deb Pittman (Rex) of Ocala, Florida.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Dennis and Steven Zeider, sister, Debra Mills and father in law, Richard Swisher and brothers in law, Joseph and John Swisher and Terry Spencer.
There will be no visitation or services. Chuck's wishes were to be cremated.
