Rose Emma Kirk Popp, 88, of Kokomo formerly of Logansport, passed away at 7:00 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 at North Woods Village in Kokomo.
Born March 8, 1926 in Muncie, she was the daughter of the late Lewis F. and Lela M. (Mendenhall) McKinley. On June 13, 1974, she married Clarence J. Kirk. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1992.
Rose was formerly employed at Canan Bible Shop in Logansport for several years. She enjoyed gospel music, traveling and sharing the love of Jesus.
Survivors include her daughter, Rosalie R. Harrison (Mike) of Port Orange, Florida, sister, Judith Smelser (Charlie) of Walton, brothers, Jay McKinley (Nancy) of Kokomo, John McKinley (Mary) of Logansport, sister in law, Shirley McKinley of Peru and grandsons, Michael J. Harrison (Megan) and James L. Harrison (Heather) all of Logansport. She is also survived by 4 great granddaughters.
She was also preceded in death by daughters, Melba Carol and Carolyn Sue and brothers, William Ralph McKinley, Dean Allen McKinley, James McKinley and Dale McKinley.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Spring Creek Cemetery in Logansport with Pastor Jay McKinley officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Marocco- Rans Funeral Chapel.
